Dr. Jatana , BVSC & AH, DVM

Dr Jatana grew up owning dogs and that human animal bond inspired him to become a veterinarian. After completing of his degree in veterinary medicine in 2009 he served in federal government hospitals for 07 years in North India where he supervised and took part in various programs pertaining to animal nutritional awareness, animal breeding, management awareness & stray animal birth control campaign,

Before moving to Canada, he earned ECFVG certification from American Veterinary Medical Association & Certificate of Qualification from National Examining Board of Canada. After moving to Canada with his family he started working as Associate veterinarian in lower mainland region of British Columbia. He gained valuable experience while working in various veterinary hospitals and Emergency veterinary facilities in lower mainland region. During this working period, he earned necessary skills to perform all types of soft tissue surgeries but always keen to learn more about orthopedic surgeries,

So, he went through intensive courses in advanced orthopedic surgeries certified by AO-ASIF in USA which enabled him to perform all kind of simple or complicated orthopedic surgeries, patellar/hip luxation repair, Toggle pin procedure, Trochlear Sulcoplasty, Tibial Tuberosity Transposition, Excision Arthroplasty, Joint Arthrodesis and corrective osteotomies such as TPLO surgery for ACL injuries in dogs. CBLO in young growing dogs and CCWO Surgeries for correcting excessive Tibial Plateau Angle.

During bone fracture repair surgeries his approach is always innovative where he likes Minimally Invasive fracture repair techniques such as indirect fracture reduction, Minimally Invasive plate osteosynthesis (MIPO), Fracture reduction & stabilisation using advanced Fluoroscopy modality.

Dr Jatana is an active member of Veterinary Orthopedic Society (VOS), Veterinary Endoscopy Society (VES) these speciality Organisations are committed to the advanced research and clinical practice in Veterinary Orthopedics & Veterinary Laparoscopic surgeries respectively.

To provide minimally invasive diagnostic modality services to the patients he got an AAVSB (American Association of Veterinary State Boards) approved certificate in Diagnostic Abdominal Ultrasound.

When not working he spends his time off exploring the nature with his lovely wife, & daughter.




Dr. Jessica Burn , DVM MS DACVO

Dr. Jessica Burn has been serving the Vancouver Island community since November 2021. With a focus on individualized treatment plans, she offers an array of services, including the management of glaucoma, corneal surgery, and cataract surgery.

Her academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Alberta in 2010, leading to a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Calgary in 2014. After completing a small animal rotating internship at VCA Western Veterinary Specialist and Emergency Centre in Calgary, Alberta, in 2015, she practiced emergency medicine before pursuing a specialty ophthalmology internship at Michigan State University in 2016. This led to a combined four-year Master of Science and Comparative Veterinary Ophthalmology residency at the same institution. During her residency, she trained in all aspects of ophthalmology including surgical and medical management of ocular conditions in small animals, horses, rabbits, birds, and exotic species. 

Alongside her studies, Dr. Burn competed at the international level as a member of the National Canadian Taekwondo Team. She is also a trained ballet dancer and an accomplished pianist. Beyond her professional life, Dr. Burn is an outdoor enthusiast and she enjoys activities such as hiking, paddleboarding, horseback riding, standing acrobatics and yoga.


Dr. Singh , MVSC Pathology, DVM

Dr Singh is incredibly passionate and devoted veterinarian whose deep affection for animals was nurtured during his childhood which ultimately inspired his pursuit of this Nobel career, Dr Singh completed his master’s degree is veterinary pathology from one of the prestigious institutes in India, His special interests are preventative medicine, His training enables him to manage patients that have multiple disorders or diseases that do not respond well to standard protocols.

In 2022 he is one of the managing directors who established the Marine and Fraser Veterinary clinic which is state of the art facility and capable to deliver outmost standards in veterinary care.

In his free moments he loves to go on hiking and exploring nature.

Cats and Dogs

Our Clinic is located at the corner of South East Marine drive and Fraser Street. We have plenty of underground free parking spaces for 2 hrs. which have entrance located at Fraser Street. Free parking is also available at Chester Street
